Read-a-thon status:
And so it ends... I'm calling it a night. I feel satisfied with what I read for this read-a-thon. It's been a crazy, long, tiresome week, but I've had fun, and that's all that matters. As for the challenges that I haven't done yet, I don't think I will now. I like these kind of challenges a lot, but I'm not really in the mood to do them.

I'm loving Cress, though I haven't had the time I wish I had to finish it. But it's been such a good read, the characters are awesome, both new and old acquaintances, and I love how the author incorporates the fairy tales' moments into her world.

Challenge: Mad Libs hosted by Chandra @ Unabridged Bookshelf
This is not your normal Mad Lib, for this Mad Lib you cannot just use any verb, noun, adjective to fill in the blanks, you must use a word from a book title. I thought it would tie in better with the Read-a-thon, and make more hilarious results.

Word List
1. Book Boyfriend/Girlfriend (List Title)
2. Verb (List Title)
3. Noun (List Title)
4. Verb (List Title)
5. Past Tense Verb (List Title)
6. Noun (List Title)
7. Plural Noun (List Title)
8. Adjective (ex: big, hot, beautiful, gloomy) (List Title)
9. Noun (List Title)

After you have your word list, Scroll Down and fill in the template below with your words.

Dear (#1, Book Boyfriend/Girlfriend)

I have (#2, Verb) but I have not had the (#3, Noun) to tell you, When I first (#4, Verb) your story, I (#5, past tense verb) in (#6, Noun). I hope you and I will someday be (#7 Plural Noun). I would love to give you a/an (#8, Adjective) (#9, Noun) for Valentine's Day.

Yours Truly
(Your Name)
I'm working on it, but I think I'll answer this challenge and the next one in the next and last update.

Challenge: Book Spine Poetry hosted by Anya @ Starships and Dragonwings
Pick some books and make a poem (as pretty or random as you want!). If you have physical books around to use, take a picture and tweet/post it somewhere. If you don’t have physical books to use (because that is always me!) feel free to just grab cover images or titles instead, but still tweet/post it so that you can link it.
I'm also working on it, but I'm going to answer this challenge and the previous one in the next and last update. I love this kind of challenge, but I'm not in the mood for it right now.

I said I loved this kind of challenge in the last update, but this particular challenge is kinda making me hate it too. I just can't figure out #6 and it's driving me nuts. Oh well, I'll sleep on it. I'll figure it out, I'm sure.

Picture Puzzle #77

O Picture Puzzle é um jogo de imagens, que funciona como um meme e é postado todas as semanas à quarta-feira. Aproveito para vos convidar a juntar à diversão, tanto a tentar adivinhar como a fazer um post com puzzles da vossa autoria. Deixem as vossas hipóteses nos comentários, e se quiserem experimentar mais alguns puzzles, consultem a rubrica nos seguintes blogues: Chaise Longue.

Como funciona?
  • Escolher um livro;
  • Arranjar imagens que representem as palavras do título (geralmente uma imagem por palavra, ignorando partículas como ‘o/a’, ‘os/as’, ‘de’, ‘por’, ‘em’, etc.);
  • Fazer um post e convidar o pessoal a tentar adivinhar de que livro se trata;
  • Podem ser fornecidas pistas se estiver a ser muito difícil de acertar no título, mas usá-las ou não fica inteiramente ao critério do autor do puzzle;
  • Notem que as imagens não têm de representar as palavras do título no sentido literal.

Puzzle #1
Pista: título em português de autora sul-americana.

Puzzle #2
Pista: título clássico de ficção científica em inglês.

Divirtam-se!

Friday: 98 pages

but nothing that I'd count for the read-a-thon)
Sunday: 94 pages

Pages read so far: 192

Books read:
Friday: 98/352 pages (27,8%) of Pivot Point by Kasie West
Sunday: 94/352 pages (26,7%) of Pivot Point by Kasie West

Books read so far:
Pivot Point by Kasie West (currently reading)

Read-a-thon status:
Well, I really did a lot of reading on Saturday, mainly blogs, since I usually don't have time for that during the week. And I read a Disney comic magazine, but either won't count for the read-a-thon. Anyway, I don't mind taking a day off, even in the middle of the read-a-thon. I kinda needed it. I also wasn't sure what to read next, which was making me a little anxious and slump-y. Thankfully, that problem is solved.

I decided to change a bit the way I do these read-a-thon updates. Since there won't be daily challenges, only ones that run through the read-a-thon, I'll make an update every 2 or 3 days, with my reading progress and the answers to the challenges, if warranted.

Challenge: Jigsaw Puzzle Cover hosted by Pabkins @ My Shelf Confessions
Solve the cover puzzles for titles I am excited to read or have read and loved!
Fun challenge, really. An uncommon one, but I have a great time making the puzzles and trying to figure out which cover is it.

Really, this one is pretty much self-explanatory. Try to match the bits of covers to the right book. And I love with a passion this kind of challenge. I am a fan of pretty covers, and I am very much detail-oriented, so I revel in trying to figure out which cover the little bit belongs to.
