Here you will find a challenge that I love dearly – the book spine poem! Haven’t heard of them? It’s easy – using books you have on hand, line up their spines to create a poem out of the titles. There is no theme and no set number of books to use, just do what pops into your head. (...) You CAN use extra words outside of the books titles, BUT, you can only use as many extra words as you have books.

I used to dislike poetry challenges, because I am not good with poetry AT ALL, but these book spine poetry challenges have changed my mind. I love to pick up books from my shelves and try to figure out a poem and a story with them. My try this time is:

So, 13 books and 13 extra words, on May 13th... I guess 13 is my lucky number. I got a little carried away this time, but I found so many books that fit with the loose story I was telling with my poem, and I love the final result.

  2. Wow, I love the imagery in your spine poem. It's so beautiful, and the last three just flow SO WELL together. And you used so many books too! Great job!
