Read-a-thon status:
Busy week, so I've been reading quite slowly. But I've been
enjoying my choices so far. Champion was a great ending
for the trilogy, Winter Soldier was a nice surprise,
and A Little Scandal is looking like it'll be quite fun.
Challenge: Tune This Title hosted by Kat @ My Shelf Confessions
Pick a song that goes with your current (or very recent read that you’ve read during the WWRAT) read. Tell us the name of the book and explain why the song goes with your book.
For example: does it fit with the mood of the book; does it go with the main character’s emotional state?
I choose Champion, which I've finished reading on Wednesday. Reading the epilogue, it was so sad and depressing because of... reasons. (I can't spoil it, now can I? Even picking this pair book/song feels a little spoilerish.) Anyway, the sense of melancholy, and the specific circumstances of a part of the epilogue made me think of Last Kiss, by Taylor Swift. I just felt bad for the epilogue's narrator, because of the years that had passed and the sense of loss that permeated the story then.
